Interview with Jeppe Mikkelsen from InterPoker
Jeppe Mikkelsen placed 24th at the Caribbean Poker Classic, winning $6,853.
Can you tell us a bit about your background?
I am 24 years old and live in Aarhus, Denmark. I study political science at the University of Aarhus, playing almost full time poker at Interpoker.
When did you start playing poker?
I learned to play poker a year ago, and started playing seriously at Interpoker 7-8 months ago.
What is your favorite poker game?
I play everything if there is good action: Limit, PL and NL Hold'Em, 7 Card Stud and PL Omaha. But mainly Limit Hold'Em since it has the most players.
Have you ever played in a land-based tournament before?
Yes, several.
Is winning a tournament luck or skill?
It takes both.
Describe the highlight of your game play at the Caribbean Poker Classic.
I have three things, I remember clearly: flopping quads and making my opponent pay me off, folding three of a kind because I thought I was out-kicked or up against a full house, he showed his hand and he had three of a kind with a better kicker, and of course making it into the money.
